Incorporation News
In early 2012 members of the Soddy Daisy Food Bank moved to incorporate as a non profit, charitable organization. There are several reason for this move but the most compelling was to position ourselves to better serve the ever increasing needs of families in our community. As an incorporated organization, we will be able to apply for a variety of grants from various groups as a means to increase our available resources. A variety of sources will also be available for the purchase of food products and goods. The Chattanooga Area Food Bank will continue to be our prime supplier of food for distribution to our clients. Our goals will continue to be to provide our clients with nutritious foods to supplement their dietary needs each month.
Final documentation has been approved to establish the Soddy Daisy Food Bank, Inc as a non profit charitable organization. Our IRS 501-C (3) status has been approved as well as our TN sales tax exemption. Contact our Director of Operations or visit the IRS website to obtain more specific information.
